🏆 Today's Chart of the Day was shared by Matt Cerminaro (@mattcerminaro)
- Health Care ($XLV) fell just -0.05% today, narrowly missing what would've been a nine-day winning streak. Yet, it still beat the S&P 500 by more than +1% for the third session in a row.
- As Matt points out, Health Care has outperformed by more than +5% over the past three days, marking its strongest three-day relative performance since 2022 and before that, 2009.
- After ranking among the worst-performing sectors in the first half of the year, Health Care is leading by a wide margin in the second half while sitting in fifth place overall year-to-date.
The Takeaway: Health Care has outperformed the S&P 500 by more than +5% over the past three days. It may need a breather in the coming days, but this relative thrust suggests a durable rotation into Health Care is underway.
