- Russell 2000 futures ($RTY_F) hit an intraday record high for the first time since November today after gapping higher this morning. While it missed a record closing high, futures still rose nearly +1% for the day.
- Yuriy notes that price is pressed against resistance at 2,450, aligning with the peaks from 2021 & 2024. A decisive breakout would peel the lid off a four-year Cup & Handle pattern.
- Another failure at the prior cycle highs would be a risk-off signal, but clearing this threshold would unlock a new wave higher and a more aggressive chapter of the ongoing bull market.
The Takeaway: Russell 2000 futures ($RTY_F) made their first intraday all-time high of the year today, as price challenges the upper bounds of a multi-year Cup & Handle pattern.
